Elizabeth
Bennet has the perseverance and heart of a warrior, but life has
knocked her down and she has lost her spark. However, after a car
accident and awakening to find herself back in time with a man who
calls her his wife, she finally finds the spark she had lost. She
realizes it’s time to stop being scared and embrace the
impossible.
Fitzwilliam
Darcy is plagued with the possibility of his wife never recovering
from amnesia. He shrugs off her odd habits as side effects of her
accident. Distraught, he finds solace in keeping his distance at the
bottom of a glass of whiskey. He assumes she has another lover, since
she calls out for another man in the middle of the night, and when he
sees her in the arms of another man, he is heartbroken, and finds it
all too easy to sever what ties remain. When he comes to know the
error of his ways, he wonders if Elizabeth could ever forgive him for
his harsh judgment.
She
stood beneath an old oak tree. Rain saturated her clothing. She
studied the dress that clung to her skin and was alarmed — it
looked as if it was from a different time. She hugged
herself to remain warm, for the rain and cold seeped down to her very
being. Tears burned her eyes, and the earth trembled beneath her feet
as lightning struck the tree she stood under. The force of a falling
tree branch knocked her to the ground. Face first in the mud, she
felt someone lifting her up. Struggling to regain her balance, she
wiped her hair out of her eyes. Her
body collapsed, and she fell to her knees before her rescuer. “Aunt
Jane,” she whispered. “Elizabeth,
my sweet child, you must find me. You must leave this place at once.” “How
do I find you? Where am I? I’m being held prisoner by a psycho.” “My
sweet Elizabeth, there are forces at work that you wouldn’t
understand. You are not a prisoner, and Darcy is a lost soul. He is
stuck in his past self, just as you are.” Thunder
boomed and lightning struck the ground next to Elizabeth. She jumped
and screamed, and her heart pumped to the point that she was sure it
would jump out of her chest. “Find
me, Elizabeth. Inside, you will find the truth.” Jane handed
Elizabeth a locket as she faded away into the mist.

Can
you, for those who don't know you already, tell something about
yourself and how you became an author?
I
write a little bit of everything, though my first novella is a time
travel Pride and Prejudice story. I have a short story YA Fantasy,
and I currently am working on a couple of other stories. I’ve
been writing for 28 years and I began writing when I was 10. My first
story I wrote with my sister while we would sit outside and play.
This was before the internet and Netflix. It was in the early 1990s
and we had written a story about talking house cats. I still have it
and it’s handwritten in pencil! I always loved to write when I was
a child. I was big into Terry Brooks when I was 10 and that’s how I
would spend my summers. I would get immersed in some fantasy book.
That sparked my love for writing. I’ve also been writing poetry
since I was 12. My Grandma Orr would always encourage me to write and
not to give up on writing. She introduced me to my first romance
novel by Victoria Holt, “The Lord of the Far Island” and believe
it or not I was 12. It wasn’t a bodice ripper, so it sparked my
love for sweet romances and later on inspired to write my own romance
story.
What
is something unique/quirky about you?
I
can do an impersonation of Kermit the Frog! I can only say “Hi Ho
there Kermit the Frog here” if I say anything more it loses its
magic and I sound so stupid! I guess a quirky thing about me is that
I like collecting angels, fairies, anything Kermit the Frog, and
Smurfs. I’m an 80’s child and you can tell if you saw my
collection from my childhood. I love going to antique stores and
every time I see something I had a child; I’ll point it out to my
boyfriend. It’s like a walk down memory lane!
Do
you believe in writer’s block?
Yes,
I researched writer’s block further for my own purposes before and
it’s caused by fear and anxiety. Which makes perfect sense because
when I get anxious and freak out about my writing or not coming up
with anything interesting I get blocked. I’ve had writer’s block
for several months before. I even had writer’s block writing
“Returning to Mr. Darcy” however I got over that eventually by
telling myself to just write for me and not worry about what others
think. Ultimately this writing thing is about me and hopefully, it
will bring joy to others who read my work. Knowing that I was doing
something to make my dream happen helped me get out of my own head
and write.
